The Sacred Skiing staff had not had enough fun yet this year so we snuck out of our home base of Moab, Utah for another round skiing at the Vail Resorts. Beaver Creek was our first stop. Recent snows have improved conditions in the Rocky Mountains considerably with Beaver Creek Resort collecting a slightly greater amount of snowfall than the other Vail resorts. A great time was had by all.
We returned to our Keystone condo at the base of the Mountain Home lift at Keystone and enjoyed two days of walking across the street to the lift and made great use of the front side for improving our skiing and exploring the transformation aspects of Sacred Skiing. Conditions were a tad firm by western standards but they only served to keep us on our toes.
The road back to Moab gave us a day at Vail which is still suffering from a lack to snow. The back bowls were open and provided some relief from the Friday crowds on the front side, but other than a few inches of powder in the more remote sections, the cover was thin and watchfulness was the word of the day.
